Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Avondale Park School and our school website.

Avondale Park School is a large primary school serving a multi-ethnic community in the heart of North Kensington and since September 2014 we have been federated with St Anne’s Nursery School. Please click here for federation home page.

At Avondale Park School we have two classes in each year group, with about 25 children per class. There are 26 teaching staff including the Head and Deputy Headteacher and 41 non teaching staff. We pride ourselves as teachers on aiming continually to develop and improve our teaching in order to make learning accessible and exciting for all pupils.

We are fortunate to have lots of space with excellent facilities, including 2 computer suites, interactive whiteboards in each classroom, two sports halls, and developing playgrounds

We are an inclusive school encouraging the academic, social and personal development of every child in a welcoming and secure environment. Visitors are always struck by the friendly but hardworking atmosphere created by staff and pupils and indeed, Ofsted commented on this.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that for the fourth time running, St Annes Nursery has been awarded the highest Ofsted Grade of ‘Outstanding’. As the Ofsted inspector stated, this is no mean feat and not many schools can boast ‘Outstanding’ x 4! Click here to read more.

In spite of it being an exciting day with red noses and jokes, we were impressed with the respect and reflection shown; and our thoughts are with those who have been affected in any way.
A huge well done to Clare’s Year 3 class who performed an excellent assembly on the book ‘The Flower’ by John Light. They retold the story in an original way and were confident in their presentation. Thank you very much to you all.
Thank you to everyone who contributed towards Red Nose Day today by paying to wear red and also by buying their red noses. Our grand total so far is £594 Well done Avondale.
