Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Avondale Park School and our school website.

Avondale Park School is a large primary school serving a multi-ethnic community in the heart of North Kensington and since September 2014 we have been federated with St Anne’s Nursery School. Please click here for federation home page.

At Avondale Park School we have two classes in each year group, with about 25 children per class. There are 26 teaching staff including the Head and Deputy Headteacher and 41 non teaching staff. We pride ourselves as teachers on aiming continually to develop and improve our teaching in order to make learning accessible and exciting for all pupils.

We are fortunate to have lots of space with excellent facilities, including 2 computer suites, interactive whiteboards in each classroom, two sports halls, and developing playgrounds.

We are an inclusive school encouraging the academic, social and personal development of every child in a welcoming and secure environment. Visitors are always struck by the friendly but hardworking atmosphere created by staff and pupils and indeed, Ofsted commented on this.

As your child’s first teacher, you will be aware of your child's needs, strengths and weaknesses and we hope to build upon that experience through a strong home – school partnership. We are happy to discuss our approach to education with parents and hope that they will continue to be involved in their children’s education throughout their school career.

We look forward to meeting you. Please phone for an appointment.
Best wishes,

Katy Blackler - Headteacher.

It has been another busy and at times challenging year for us all. As a community we still struggle to come to terms with the events of 14th June last year but the strength that our children and families have shown has been inspiring for us all. I do hope that everyone manages to enjoy some rest and recuperation over the summer – home or away- and we look forward to seeing you all back in September. Thank you for your ongoing support and wishing you happy holidays! With love, Katy, Danielle, Mark, Dionne and all the staff.
